｜Sun Moon Lake Ropeway

The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is 1877.15 meters long, running through Buji Mountain with an altitude of 1044 meters. It takes around 16 minutes to go for a round trip. Whenever you are on a trip with friends, lover or family, cycling is a must when you come to Sun Moon Lake. Enjoy the relax along the way, look up to appreciate the blue sky and white clouds. You can record every touching moment during the journey with no hurries.

 

 

<Ticket Type>

  • This is an electronic ticket (QR Code) and a physical ticket will not be sent separately.
  • After completing the payment, please check your email to receive the "payment successful notification" email. You can use the QR code attached in the email for verification, or you can go to the website's "Member Center" → "My Orders" → "Paid" page → click "View" to access the QR Code for verification.
  • Present your electronic voucher (QR code) at the redemption counter, show the QR code to the staff to exchange or scan it at the kiosk .

<Entry Instructions>

【Sun Moon Lake Ropeway】

  • Please take your QR Code to the <Self-service Ticket Machine at the 2F Service Counter of Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station>. Scan it to exchange for a physical admission ticket, then proceed to the <3F Ropeway Boarding Platform Gate> and scan the QR Code on the physical ticket to enter.
  • Boarding Location Address: No. 102, Zhongzheng Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County
  • The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway electronic voucher is valid for one person per ticket and is limited to one round-trip ride only.

【Sun Moon Lake Bicycle Rental】

  •  Present the electronic voucher (QR Code) at any of the following stores to redeem and rent a bicycle. The staff will scan the QR Code for redemption.
    • Relaxed Ride: No. 149, Zhongshan Road, Shuishe Village, Yuchi Township, Nantou County (1 minute walk from Shuishe Visitor Center)
    • Ride for You: No. 19, Zhongxing Road, Shuishe Village, Yuchi Township, Nantou County (opposite Zhongxing Parking Lot, next to 7-Eleven)
  • This product is for a specified bike model; choosing a different model may require an additional cash payment.
  • Service hours: Daily from 07:00 to 18:00. Each rental period is for a full day; please adhere to the business hours announced by the store.

  • Payment Deadline: Please complete payment within 1 hour after the order is created. Otherwise, the system will automatically cancel the order.
  • Order Modification: Modifications are not supported. To change the quantity, please cancel the entire order and re-order.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • No partial refunds: Only "Full Order Cancellation" is supported. Individual items within an order cannot be cancelled separately.
    • No refunds after use: Once a ticket has been redeemed or used, no refund requests will be accepted.
    • Refundable: Unused tickets within the validity period can be refunded via "This Website" > Member Center > My Orders.

【Special Notice for Staff Welfare Project】

  • This plan must be used within one year of purchase. All items must be completed within 14 days starting from the day the first item is used.

  • As this voucher is for the ropeway ride only, it does NOT include admission to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. Passengers may only board from the Ita Thao Sun Moon Lake Main Station and cannot enter from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Station.

  • Seasonal thunderstorms often occur in the Sun Moon Lake area. For safety reasons, the facility will temporarily close when there is a risk of lightning. We recommend checking the 【Official Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Website】 or calling to confirm operation status before your visit.
  • Bicycles, pets not in carriers, or other large, sharp, or hazardous items are prohibited (except for guide dogs).
  • Smoking, eating, drinking, and chewing gum or betel nut are strictly prohibited inside the cabins.
