Chimei Museum is renowned for its collections of Western Arts, music instruments, armory, taxidermy and fossils. These 4000 plus collections make up of roughly a third of all exhibits. Museum founder Mr. Wen-Long Shi has said, “Great collections shouldn’t be kept private, but to share it with the world; collections shouldn’t be about my tastes but it should be suitable for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.”

Fine Arts Hall

13th to 20th Century paintings, aim to educate the public on the history and development of Western arts.

 

Rodin Gallery

An exhibit that focuses on Auguste Rodin, his teachers, his peers and his students. A peek into the creative minds during the Rodin era of the late 19th and early 20th century.

 

Natural History and Fossils

Taxidermies and fossils from all 5 continents, a representation of life, history and nature

Musical Instruments – The Violin Exhibit

The hall exhibits the best hand-crafted instruments and  categorizes violins and string instruments according to world-renowned luthiers, their lineage, and their respective geographical regions.

 

Musical Instruments

 “Ethnic Musical Instrument Hall”, “Orchestra Hall” and “Music Tech” are 3 exhibits that provide an in-depth look at how culture, customs and technology drove music to what it is today.

 

Sculpture Hall

From ancient Greek, to Rome to the 20th centur, the exhibit is a trail into the past to all things sculpture.

 

Arms and Amour

The exhibit collects the ancient weaponry of the world, from the past we can see the glimpse of their influence into the industrial and technologies of today.

<Ticket Type>

  • This is an electronic ticket (QR Code) and a physical ticket will not be sent separately.
  • After completing the payment, please check your email to receive the "payment successful notification" email. You can use the QR code attached in the email for verification, or you can go to the website's "Member Center" → "My Orders" → "Paid" page → click "View" to access the QR Code for verification.
  • Present your electronic voucher (QR code) at the redemption counter, show the QR code to the staff to exchange or scan it at the kiosk .

    • Museum Interior: 9:30–17:30 (Last entry 17:00)

  • Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed within 1 hour after the order is placed. Otherwise, the system will automatically cancel the order.
  • Order Modification: The system does not support modifications. To change the quantity, a full refund for the entire order must be processed before re-ordering.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • No partial refunds: The system only supports "cancellation of the entire order." Individual items within an order cannot be cancelled separately.
    • No refund after use: Once the ticket has been redeemed or used, no refund requests of any kind will be accepted.
    • Refund Eligibility: If the ticket is unused and still within its validity period, you may go to the "Member Center" → My Orders (Paid Orders) → Apply for Refund.

【Special Notes for Corporate Employee Benefit Projects】

  • This product is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Expired and unredeemed tickets will automatically become invalid, and no exchange or refund will be accepted. Please ensure you use the ticket within the validity period to protect your rights.

  • Please be sure to pay attention to the operating hours of the redemption stores/facilities/venues. If redemption is unavailable during a certain period, please redeem during other regular operating hours within the validity period.
  • Except for situations specified in the "Regulations on Stopping Office and Class Operations due to Natural Disasters," in which the county/city government decides to suspend announcements or class activities, or when the management unit deems it necessary to fully or partially close the park due to factors that may affect visitor safety, the event organizer may postpone or cancel the event.  【Chimei Museum - Special Notes】

  • Visitor Reminders:
    • The entire museum area (including both indoor and outdoor spaces) is strictly non-smoking.
    • The outdoor park is located within a flight restriction zone. Sky lanterns, fireworks, kites, drones, and any other drifting objects that may pose a flight safety risk are strictly prohibited.
    • Pets are not allowed inside the museum (except for service dogs on duty).
    • Long-handled umbrellas and items exceeding A3 size are not permitted in the galleries.
    • Food, drinks, filming, and photography are prohibited within the galleries (unless otherwise specified). Please keep your voice low.
    • To preserve the collections, the air conditioning in the galleries is set to a low temperature. Please bring warm clothing if needed. Proper attire is required; slippers, rollerblades, skateboards, and bicycles are not allowed.
    • Please follow on-site regulations. The museum reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone deemed to be a threat to the safety of the exhibits or the order of the museum.
    • The museum reserves the right to claim compensation for any damage or destruction caused to the facilities or collections.
