Escape the bustle of the city and visit Ren'ai Township in Nantou to enter Cingjing Farm. You absolutely cannot miss the cute sheep show and the impressive equestrian show. ▏Cingjing Skywalk

"Green grass below your feet, a thousand-meter deep valley ahead, mountain ranges like ribbons, and a clear blue sky above." This is the vivid impression of the Cingjing Skywalk. Walking 2,000 steps on this observation trail at an altitude of 1,700 meters is an entirely different and enchanting experience.

The dozens of hectares of green grass at Cingjing Farm's Green Green Grasslands feed hundreds of sheep and cattle. The deep valleys, carved by the snowmelt from Hehuan and Qilai Mountains, flow with clear streams that nourish Sun Moon Lake. The highest peaks of the Central Mountain Range—including Qilai North Peak, Qilai Main Peak, Nanhua Mountain, Nenggao Mountain, and the Hehuan peaks—form a towering natural wall. This wall delays the morning light, traps the early mist, and creates magnificent cloud seas from the clouds cascading over from Hualien. These landscapes enrich the style of the Cingjing Skywalk and cultivate its irreplaceable character.

 

The Cingjing Skywalk is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,700 to 2,000 meters. Spanning 1.6 kilometers in length, it connects the old trail near the Cingjing Guest House to the Green Green Grasslands Story House. Designed with an eco-friendly elevated structure, the trail weaves through the treetops, allowing travelers to hike safely while enjoying the sight of sheep grazing and wild birds hopping in the canopy. Multiple observation platforms are set up along the way, perfect for pausing to enjoy the cool breeze and take in panoramic views of the Central Mountain Range and the brilliantly clear blue sky.

【Cingjing Skywalk - Special Notes】

  • Entry points:
    1. Butterfly Garden Entrance (via the 55-Step Trail next to France Little Town at Cingjing Tourist Service Center).
    2. South Commercial Area Entrance (opposite the vendor area in the Green Green Grasslands South Commercial Area).
    3. Both entrances allow entry and exit. Re-entry is permitted, provided you have a valid hand stamp and follow the instructions of on-site staff to queue.
  • This trail is located next to Cingjing Farm at an altitude of 1,700–2,000 meters, with a total length of 1.6km. The trail is an elevated structure built along the terrain. Please evaluate your physical condition; those with acrophobia (fear of heights), high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, pregnancy, or those under the influence of alcohol should not enter for their own safety.
  • Parts of the trail are affected by the terrain and are "environmentally friendly" paths rather than fully barrier-free facilities. Wheelchair users must be accompanied by others to avoid danger.
  • Tickets are only valid on the day of use. Expired, lost, or damaged tickets will not be reissued.
  • Tour guides and leaders do not receive free admission; please purchase tickets (Discount Tickets) according to regulations.
  • The ticket stub serves as proof of purchase. Revenue from Skywalk tickets is a statutory fee for the Nantou County Government and is exempt from business tax and the issuance of Uniform Invoices. If you require a paper proof of purchase, please inform staff at the time of purchase or redemption; it cannot be reissued after leaving the counter.
  • Visitors planning to enter and exit multiple times on the same day must obtain a hand stamp at the ticket office. Show both your valid ticket and hand stamp upon re-entry.
  • This venue is insured with public liability insurance as required by law.
  • The trail may close due to typhoons, heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, or other unsuitable weather conditions.
  • Prohibited behaviors on the trail:
    • Climbing into the trail during non-operational hours is strictly prohibited. Violators enter at their own risk, and the Nantou County Government reserves the right to take legal action.
    • To prevent the spread of rabies and other infections, pets are prohibited (except for guide dogs).
    • Please show civic-mindedness: respect plants and animals, do not litter, and do not feed the animals to prevent accidental ingestion!
    • To maintain safety and quality, please follow the load capacity limits and do not push or shove.
    • Do not jump off or climb over railings, run, play, or intentionally shake the railings. Please keep a close eye on accompanying children.
    • Please follow the flow control and do not congregate in a single area of the platforms to avoid excessive stress on the structure.
    • Skateboarding, unauthorized picnicking/outdoor cooking, and fireworks are strictly prohibited.
    • No smoking allowed in the park!
    • The use of drones is prohibited.
    • The government is not responsible for casualties or property loss caused by failure to comply with these rules. The Nantou County Government reserves the right to seek compensation for damage to public property.
