Meet the Adorable Frog at Hsinchu's Qingwaishi Skywalk

Located in Jianshi Township, the Qingwaishi (Frog Rock) Skywalk is an immersive forest trail and a notable filming location for the epic movie "Seediq Bale."

At the end of the trail lies a suspended glass "Rainbow Walkway" overlooking the Naluo River valley. Standing on the walkway, you can witness the majestic sight of rapid waterfalls cascading down the massive cliffs—a truly breathtaking and awe-inspiring spectacle!


Two Years in the Making: Experience the Fragrance of Nature

Carefully developed by the Jianshi Township Office, this ecological trail focuses on "forest bathing." Along the way, visitors can explore the diverse ecology of the Naluo Tribe while enjoying a gentle hike—the perfect destination for relaxing the mind and body.

Gentle Slopes: Fun for the Whole Family!

The entire Qingwaishi Skywalk takes about 20–30 minutes to complete. It's a great opportunity to bring your children to breathe in the fresh forest air and experience the beauty of Jianshi, Hsinchu.

Hsinchu's Only Skywalk: The Most Beautiful Rainbow Bridge

The trail culminates at Hsinchu's first-ever skywalk! The glass walkway reveals the stunning valley of the Naluo River below. On a clear day, you might see a beautiful rainbow formed by the sunlight and the waterfall's mist. To your left is the filming site of "Seediq Bale," and to your right sits the famous Frog Rock!

★ Why is it called "Frog Rock"? ★
According to local Atayal elders, frogs and mosquitoes were ancient rivals. Legend has it that a giant frog was chasing a swarm of mosquitoes when the last mosquito escaped over a mountain peak. Blocked by the steep rocks, the frog could only stare as its prey flew away. Over hundreds of years, the waiting frog eventually turned into the stone we see today.

◆ Transportation:
By Car ➡ Take the National Highway No. 3 (Zhu-Lin Interchange) → Follow County Road 120 toward Hengshan/Jianshi → Continue straight past Jianshi and turn right to arrive.
By Bus ➡ Take the Hsinchu Bus (Zhudong toward Naluo) → Get off at "Qingwaishi Station."

<Ticket Type>

  • This is an electronic ticket (QR Code) and a physical ticket will not be sent separately.
  • After completing the payment, please check your email to receive the "payment successful notification" email. You can use the QR code attached in the email for verification, or you can go to the website's "Member Center" → "My Orders" → "Paid" page → click "View" to access the QR Code for verification.
  • Present your electronic voucher (QR code) at the redemption counter, show the QR code to the staff to exchange or scan it at the kiosk .

<Entry Instructions>

  • Please proceed to the <Ticketing Booth (located at the Parking Lot)> to present your QR code. After scanning, our staff will provide a physical ticket. Please follow the instructions to take the shuttle bus to the trail area. You must present your "Physical Ticket" to the staff at the entrance for verification to enter.
    • Cleaning and maintenance take place daily from 12:30 to 13:00. The park is closed to visitors during this time (actual opening hours are subject to announcements on the official website).
    • Pets are allowed inside the park only if they are kept in a pet carrier or bag.

  • Opening Hours:
    • Closed for cleaning and maintenance from 12:30 to 13:00 daily.
    • Actual opening hours are subject to the Official Website announcements.

  • Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed within 1 hour after the order is placed. Otherwise, the system will automatically cancel the order.
  • Order Modification: The system does not support modifications. To change the quantity, a full refund for the entire order must be processed before re-ordering.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • No partial refunds: The system only supports "cancellation of the entire order." Individual items within an order cannot be cancelled separately.
    • No refund after use: Once the ticket has been redeemed or used, no refund requests of any kind will be accepted.
    • Refund Eligibility: If the ticket is unused and still within its validity period, you may go to the "Member Center" → My Orders (Paid Orders) → Apply for Refund.
